Wintek co-operate with Shanghai Tianma in AMOLED Touch Panel Business

"Wintek co-operate with Shanghai Tianma to produce AMOLED touch panels. The companies are planning to ramp up fabs to produce AMOLED panels. Wintek plans to ramp up a plant in Taiwan to produce panels with their advanced technology touch (ATT) technology. The plan is to go online in 2013. LCD News 5.26.11-CMI introducing new lines of 3D TVs and Sony to decrease TV shipments

Taiwan based TV firms have not yet penetrated the 3D TV market. This year Taiwan-based TV makers aim to penetrate the 3D market. Firms such as Chimei Innolux (CMI) and BenQ will be pushing new lines of 3D TVs in the second half of this year. The market of LCD TVs in Taiwan have been experiencing a drop in their prices, LG's 42 inch LED TV has fallen below $1,037; Sony is following this drop in prices.
