UK release date for Philips Cinema 3D TV

The world’s first 21:9 cinema dimension 3D TV is to be released in the UK this month. The Philips Cinema Platinum TV range was officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Unlimited show in Berlin a month ago and is due to hit the UK shelves towards the end of November.

At 58 inches across, the cinema aspect screen will be available at just below £4,000 and will ship complete with a built-in 3D transmitter, internet capabilities with a built-in web browser.

Midwich Partner with LCD Enclosure Manufacturer Armagard

Electronic trade distributors Midwich have entered the outdoor digital signage market with a new partnership programme with Armagard – a leading UK manufacturer of outdoor LCD enclosures.

Ranging from 24” to 70” Armagard cabinets are IP-rated to protect against heavy rainfall, dust and small particles, electrical surges, physical impact, temperature extremes and theft.

Screen UK Breakfast Briefing on Stadium Media

The Screen UK is holding another breakfast briefing event this month looking at Stadium Media and how Dooh interacts with crowds.  The briefing will be held on November 18th at Harris Corporation in Wokingham and is free for Screen UK members.

The briefing will look at how digital out-of-home is being used at major sports and entertainment arenas -  a growing area in the UK. The briefing is between 9:00am - 12:00pm at the Eskdale Road centre.
