Samsung develops 70-inch LCD panel using Oxide Semiconductor tech
samsunghub.com- Samsung has clinched another world’s first title with the development of a 70-inch LCD panel that uses Oxide Semiconductor technology and supports 3D Ultra Definition (UD) with 240Hz refresh rate. The use of oxide semiconductor technology over the conventional silicon-based TFT tech allows the TV to support 8m pixels resolution, which is four times more than the full HD resolution. Pixtronix and Chimei Innolux Successfully Develop MEMS Display Prototypes
marketwatch.com- Pixtronix, Inc., an innovator in the development and licensing of low power multimedia display technologies, today announced the successful joint development with Chimei Innolux Corp. (CMI) of its PerfectLight low power MEMS display technology for mobile multimedia applications. The two companies recently completed the development of prototype displays, which utilize the Pixtronix proprietary technology and were built by CMI.
