Permanent video art screens ready for content at LAX.
The video artworks can be viewed at two venues within the Arrivals Lobby. One is a linear strip of video monitors consisting of 29 back-to-back, 46-inch LCD screens for a total of 58 screens suspended from the ceiling, configured in a serpentine shape with an overall length of 90 feet. The other is a media wall composed of 25 46-inch screens in a 5-screen-by-5-screen matrix. Full story here.
The outdoor digital signage market is growing rapidly. Last year the outdoor sector was worth $3.5 billion which is double what the industry sector was worth the year before, and it is expected to expand. The growth may be attributed to a few different factors such as high brightness-energy efficient LCD's, outdoor LCD enclosures, and easier integration of media players. Full article here.
