Tek Panel Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of all-in-one computers with up to 57” integrated LCD displays, announced its newest product, the Tek Panel 420 at the 2009 Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Made Specifically for Digital Signage
Customers have used Tek Panel all-in-one computers for digital signage applications for over five years, but the Tek Panel 420 is the first Tek Panel product designed with digital signage in mind as the primary function of the system.  Featuring a 42” TFT/LCD display in addition to a full-powered, upgradeable, integrated PC, the Tek Panel 420 has a slim bezel and options such as built-in touch screen and internal stereo speakers.  Its all-aluminum enclosure, along with various ruggedization options including optically bonded displays, make it the ideal all-in-one interactive digital signage system for public display.

“We originally developed the Tek Panel to meet the technology needs of a wide range of customers.” said John Bastian, CEO of Tek Panel Inc.  “The Tek Panel 420 represents our first standard model catered to the needs of a specific industry.  We listened to our customers using Tek Panels for digital signage and applied their feedback to build the ideal all-in-one digital signage display.”

Same High-Quality; Different Design
The Tek Panel 420 is built using the highest quality brand-name components used in all the other models in the Tek Panel product line.  The differences are in the design of the enclosure as well as its appearance.  The 42” LCD display represents the “sweet spot” of digital signage displays, with the ideal size for viewing content in public areas and lower cost of ownership.

Another major design feature is a slimmer front bezel and thinner, making the unit a better fit for placement anywhere, and giving it a sleeker appearance, similar to a standalone LCD display.

“Our engineering challenge for the Tek Panel 420 was to design a unit that has the same rugged features of our current products, retain the Tek Panel’s ability to be customized and upgraded and make the overall appearance more appealing,” says John Bastian.  “The result has been so successful we are planning to redesign other Tek Panel models using the same design standards.”
