Interactive holographic ASK Kiosk with Touchless Interface Unveiled
Shown in the "Red Leaf" Exhibit at the CES 2010 Expo and designed exclusively for Integrated Media Group, ASK (Autonomous Sales Kiosk), by  FITHco Inc. (MDKS) Kiosk Equipment, is a touch-less interactive kiosk that can project images in 52” landscape mode or 62” portrait and can be displayed in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. IMG’s  “virtual concierge can help sell a company, service or products through interactivity” and although “gesture driven interactive technology has been around for about 7 years,” the ASK kiosk is one of the first portable units to display IMG’s interactive, full service sales person technology. Samsung 55-inch Super Narrow Bezel Digital Information Display (DID) LCD
displayblog.com- Samsung’s favorite adjective? You guessed it: super. Samsung’s super narrow bezel 55-inch DID LCD does indeed sport some very thin bezels: 3.8 mm on the top and left and just 1.9 mm on the bottom and right. Combined, the bezel thickness between these 55-inch DIDs is just 5.7 mm. Very cool. Now if only our monitors and notebook PC displays had bezels this thin. Click here to read more..

LG: 80% of UK consumers haven't heard about OLEDs
oled-info.com- LG Business Solution has performed a survey in the UK about consumer awareness of LED and OLED technologies. While 59% said they are aware of at least some features and benefits of LED, 80% said they have never heard of OLEDs before. Click here to read more..

China welcomes first home-grown LCD glass substrate production line 13th October 2010
platinum.matthey.com- IRICO is set to commence operations at its new LCD glass substrate production line, it was confirmed yesterday (12th October). The Chinese company has built the country's first Gen 6 production line at the Flat Panel Display Industrial Park in Hefei, which is the capital city of Hefei province. IRICO has now fired up its first furnace as it attempts to make its mark on the LCD panel sector, which has "been monopolised by foreign countries" until now, according to Anhui News. LCD panel makers prepare price increase for IT panels
digitimes.com- With IT (notebook and monitor) panel prices dropping below cash cost, TFT-LCD panel makers are brewing plans to increase prices back to cost levels, while reducing production to stop further losses. Some vendors have agreed to price increases of US$1-2 in order to secure enough orders to replenish their inventory while prices remain low. Click here to read more..

WebDT Signage On Nanjing Road
dailydooh.com- San Jose, California-based DT Research Inc., which develops information appliances for vertical markets, has announced the deployment of the WebDT Signage System for an outdoor digital signage project on Shanghai’s Nanjing Road district.
