Display market must step cautiously about backlit LED TVs
techeye.net- Although some are claiming that the LED blacklit market is rosy, analysts have warned that manufacturers must be cautious. They have warned that the success of this market next year depends on "LED backlit TV set price reductions." Also Thursday, South Korea's LG Electronics said strong sales of LCD TVs, particularly in emerging markets, helped push its home entertainment segment revenue up 9 percent – but its operating income sank by about 52 percent . The company said it expects price erosion in its TV business will eat into earnings in the fourth quarter. Click here to read more..
