Noventri, a Digital Signage Company, Joins Millions by Participating in Earth Hour 2011

Digital signage solutions provider, Noventri, will join millions that are participating in Earth Hour 2011 in an effort to send a powerful message earth wide about reducing energy usage.

Smithsburg, MD, March 22, 2011 – Noventri will participate in an international event, Earth Hour 2011, by lowering it energy usage for an hour to promote lower energy consumption and establish the company’s dedication toward environmental sustainability on March 26, 2011.

Participants will demonstrate their commitment by turning off non-essential lighting, dimming lighting or, where possible, using candlelight on the 26th at 8:30 to 9:30 pm.

“The event is in line with what Noventri has been striving for in the manufacture of the Eco-Series SF-100e digital signage player,” says Andrew Hoffman, VP at Noventri. “Our low-energy usage digital signage players use only 4 watts of power as compared to using a standard PC, at 200 watts, for the same purpose.”

Also, Noventri has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree for every digital signage player that is sold in order to replenish U.S. National Forests.

Earth Hour started in 2007 and is a global grassroots movement that encourages individuals, businesses and governments around the world to take positive actions for the environment.  Earth Hour 2010 participants included over 128 countries and territories and thousands of businesses worldwide. This year promises to be even bigger with major corporations around the globe coming on board including some of the world’s most iconic landmarks.
